Assessments

Before you are treated by one of our counselors, we will perform a psychosocial assessment.

A member of our staff evaluates you to determine the level of care needed to treat your behavioral health or substance abuse issue. We then discuss treatment options to make sure you are comfortable with our recommendation. By taking the time at the beginning of the process to explore your needs, we can create a more comprehensive plan for education and treatment.

A comprehensive psychiatric evaluation may be needed to diagnose emotional, behavioral, or developmental disorders. An evaluation of a child, adolescent, or adult is made based on behaviors present and in relation to physical, genetic, environmental, social, cognitive (thinking), emotional, and educational parts that may be affected as a result of these behaviors.

A psychoeducational evaluation is a set of assessment procedures administered by a licensed psychologist or credentialed school psychologist to obtain information about a student’s learning, behavior, or mental health. Evaluations can be requested by parents, school personnel, or students who are of majority age.
